Balance Point And The CPA Community
When It Comes To Balance Point’s Relationship With The CPA Community, Roots Run Deep.
Since opening its doors in 2003, Balance Point has been committed to being a true partner to CPA firms, and has invested people and resources to nurture and grow the relationship.
CPA firms have historically referred clients to large, national payroll providers because of the name recognition, years in the business, or their ability to sell their services (but not necessarily deliver).
Balance Point is fortunate that the CPA community is recognizing the benefits and value a more intimate payroll company can provide—responsiveness, accountability, knowledge, focus, and security.
Balance Point’s tagline, “We’re Different,” rings true in many ways. They win over CPAs by providing a different level of service and assurance that the larger companies can’t compete against. Pete Luciano, one of the founders of Balance Point, appreciates the trust that’s placed with every client referral, “We want to represent our CPA’s in the way they would represent themselves. We understand that we are a direct reflection of the way they run their business.”
There is no substitute for a representative who not only knows you personally, but goes above and beyond to truly understand your business. Jennifer Truskowski, a Sales Consultant at Balance Point with 13+ years of industry experience, prides herself on delivering high quality customer service to her business partners. “When I meet with a new CPA, I make it my goal to ask the right questions and get a clear understanding of their practice, areas of focus, and their philosophy on payroll. From there I commit to being a valuable resource for them, whether it’s accessing clients’ reports online, managing a tax notice for a mutual client, setting up payroll for a new client, or providing relevant updates in the accounting/payroll/HR world.”
Balance Point Continues To Look For Ways To Stay Relevant, Accessible, And Visible Among The CPA Community With Initiatives Such As:
The CPA Seminar Series
In 2014, Balance Point began offering seminars for CPE credits presented by highly respected experts in their fields. Topics have included: Alternatives to Bankruptcy, Best Employment Law Practices for Accounting Firms and Their Clients, and Unlocking the Code to Successful Relationships. Balance Point continues to seek out new speakers and topics to improve the experience for CPAs going forward.
The CPA Advisory Board
Balance Point is in the early stages of forming a CPA Advisory Board consisting of members of its management team and select CPAs. The purpose of these collaborative, round table discussions is to provide a forum to examine high level topics that affect their respective industries and mutual clients.
CPA Resource Pages
Balance Point creates landing pages for select CPA partners as added value. These online destinations, customized with the firms’ logos, are filled with resources, blog posts, and relevant information for the firm to provide to their clients.
The relationship between Balance Point and their CPA partners continues to evolve with the times. When asked what the most rewarding part of the relationship is, Truskowski is quick to respond, “Knowing that I’m making life easier for my CPA partners AND their clients. At the end of the day, CPAs want to know that their client is receiving great service and that they won’t have any headaches – this makes for the best of both worlds!”
