How to Prepare for HCM Software Implementation
You have identified the features you need, evaluated the options, and finally decided on the human capital management (HCM) solution that makes the most sense for your business. While you might be tempted to breathe a sigh of relief, make it quick! Next comes implementation.
With a little preparation and flexibility you can ensure that your administrative processes continue to run smoothly while taking full advantage of the cool, new features your software provides.
We’ve assembled the following tips to help you make a seamless transition.
Communicate with your provider.

You will need to provide pertinent employee information—names, addresses, social security numbers, rates of pay, bank account numbers, etc. Before you gather this information, check with your provider to find out what format is best to use.
Tackle the process in stages.
Don’t expect all processes to be transitioned all at once. Roll it out in stages. Your entire team will be involved in the implementation, and too many changes happening at once will only overwhelm them.
Once payroll has been successfully migrated, HR should be next. Robust software is not a “one system fits all,” it is scalable and customizable based on each client’s needs – something you’ll appreciate later. Embrace the change.
